The Bird Dog Red, a delicious Marquette, was named after Mark's 18-year-old Brittany Spaniel, Bosco.  He's the best bird dog this side of the Mississippi!  Well, maybe he had a chance at that title in his prime, he is 126 in dog years.  We still love him, even if he isn't perfect.

Apple of My Iowa
Semi-sweet apple table wine.
Named by the always clever John Newman.
Hayfield may not be big, perfect, or a real town, but to us, it's the best place
in the country: home.

The "Doodah"
Apple table wine. Named after our youngest daughter, Mandy, whose childhood
nickname was Doodah. She insisted on singing
"doodah, doodle, day" incessantly, and the name stuck.

The Oldest Child.
Somebody's got to be responsible.
And it's not going to be me.

The Second Child.
Somebody needs attention.

The Third Child.
Don't try to understand it. Just drink it.

The Middle Child.
Tastes like sunshine and neglect.
Made from the grape vines planted by the previous owners of the acreage over 25 years ago.
Adopted in 2011 by Mandy, this is a blend of red and white grapes which produces a
sweet, flavorful, and distinctively summery wine.

The Youngest Child
Tastes like irresponsibility and optimism.
And maybe a little whiny.

The Only Child.
Being an only child isn't such a bad thing.
Who actually likes hand-me-downs?
